Our Story
1.
For My Little Miss Mulan
Welcome to Cha Mulan, a cultural project inspired by the rich heritage of Mount Wuyi, the birthplace of the exquisite rock tea situated in Fujian, the home province of my father. This project is dedicated to my daughter, “Little Miss Mulan”, and aims to weave the vibrant threads of our cultural heritage into her life.
The idea for Cha Mulan blossomed during a memorable journey through the breathtaking Wuyi region while I was pregnant with her. This region, renowned for its majestic landscapes and deep cultural roots, is not only the origin of Oolong tea but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its natural beauty and historic significance.
2.
A Cultural Heritage Project
Cha Mulan is a celebration of cultural inheritance, connecting “Little Miss Mulan” to the profound legacy of her grandfather’s homeland and the timeless art of Gongfu tea, a passion deeply cherished by her father, my husband, too. Through this project, we strive to nurture an appreciation for the traditions and natural splendour of Mount Wuyi.
By sharing the beauty and depth of Wuyi tea culture with the next generation, we want to provide a comprehensive understanding of the timeless traditions surrounding Gongfu tea, fostering a lifelong connection to this ancient art form. Cha Mulan is more than just a project; it is a bridge between the East and the world, between past, present and future, ensuring that the legacy of Gongfu tea culture continues to thrive in the hearts of future generations and all who seek to discover the magic of this extraordinary heritage.
